What decoder chip for HORNBY R2763 TECHNICAL SERVICES CLASS 20 DIESEL LOCO 20169

I may purchase the above ready DCC Loco but not sure what decoder will fit it I think an 8 pin but can any body confirm & if they can also direct me to a site that will give me instructions how to fit the decoder.

I have one of these locos with an 8245 fitted. an 8249 would also be fine.

there is an 8 pin socket and a lot of room inside the loco.

To remove the body you need to ease out the buffers at both ends. I was not able to do this an had to cut

through the buffer stalk using a Stanley knife.

I am not aware of a site that shows the installation in a hornby class 20.
