Old Bob
My DCC power track (R82410) for some reason does not power up Can I use a dc power track (R 8206 ) for my DDC locos ?
Rog RJ
The dc (analogue) power tracks are fitted with a suppression capacitor which needs removing before use on a DCC layout. The capacitor distorts the DCC signal which causes locos to run badly or not respond to controls. You can easily prise the cover off the power track so that you can cut out the capacitor with wire cutters.
