john_ruddy Posted April 13, 2021 Share Posted April 13, 2021 I too have plans to put the J36 TTS decoder into a J83. With both being North British locos, the sound should be very similar. You will need to change the speaker, as the supplied one wont fit into the J83. It didnt fit into the J36 either, but thats a different story!
