Which Hornby TTS Decoder is suitable for Centenary Evening Star?

I wonder if anyone can tell me which Hornby TTS Decoder is the suitable one for fitting inside the R3821 Class 9F 2-10-0 92220 "Evening Star" (Centenary Year Limited Edition) please?

Also, has anyone fitted one themselves, and if so was it easy to do?

Many thanks.

For anyone else who also wanted to know the answer to this question, someone over on YouTUBE offered the solution: "The Hornby R8113 TTS Sound Decoder: Crosti Class 9F Decoder" will apparently fit inside the Centenary Edition "Evening Star".

With any loco that you intend to fit TTS (or any other sound decoder) to, the first thing to do is pull the service sheet for that particular loco if available.

This will show if there is a design accommodation for a decoder and speaker, or if you are going to have to fettle it in. If there is no service sheet and/or you have lost the maintenance sheet that comes with every new model, then it will mean taking your model apart.

The second step is to look at the Hornby TTS retro-kit listing to see if the decoder you want is listed in the current range. If out of stock at Hornby you can google the R number and see if any retailer has stock.

Even if your loco is not TTS ready then as stated in the generic instructions you may have to deploy modelling skills.

This article will give you some ideas as to what may be required.
