Bulleidboy Posted April 2, 2021 Share Posted April 2, 2021 I have just fitted the R8115 TTS Sound Decoder into my new Merchant Navy "East Asiatic Co". It really is a piece of cake to do. I replaced the original speaker with a 2w enhanced bass one - still 28mm round. I did think about replacing the speaker with one from a "tablet", which is very thin and would have been position on top of the weight, but in the end decided on a direct replacement. The hardest part of the job was getting the shaft of the handbrake back into the hole in the tender chassis.The picture shows the speaker in place and the tablet speaker sitting below.
