Jonathan-81996
Hi I have a large collection of Scalextric cars about 230 cars mostly F1 from the last 20 years. They are stored in display cabinets and I have noticed recently that quite a few cars from my collection have now developed flat spots on the rear tyres.Has anybody else experienced similar issues with their cars.Would be good to know if this is a common problem. Andy P.
Completely common. Depending on sun, heat, humidity they can flat spot within a year easily. That is why the cars are actually suspended in the box they come in to keep the tires off the ground. The only way to avoid it is to hermetically seal their case as best as possible and keep all four wheels off the ground. PAR PAUL
Hi Jonathan.Yes I had this about about 4 years ago.So bought a hole lot of small plastic washers and used then.1 or 2 was good enough between the car and the plinth so the screw comes up still to do up the car to plinth.good luck mate.As it is impossible to by the right tyres for the cars nowadays with all the painted writing on them.from Par Paul
Andy P.
Tires are readily available and the writing can be added using decals...
