paul71
looks good ratch, been interesting to see you build it and how you do things different to me like doing the decals as you go along, iv always done decals last
Ratch
Thanks Paul. I always did them last too, but applying them before adding the fiddly bits saves knocking them off the build. I saw someone else build in that sequence, so it's never too late to learn new tricks.
SD45elect2000
All of these vehicles are in the original Memphis Belle movie. I like what you did here. I have two of these kits to build and will try to follow along with what you did. Nice job !Randall

Ratch
I moved your post about that to the Humbrol sub-section (as it's about paint) and posted a link.
Tour de Airfix
Having just purchased the Re-Supply Set and currently working on the B-17, I thought I’d see who else may have already built this, and so here I am 😊 I did the same for the B-17 but oddly I don’t recall anything coming up, but guess my kit is different so am assuming I’m not duplicating too much 😉 One question about your B-17 … why is one wing camouflaged and the other base metal? Never seen that before 🤔 And what surprises me about the Re-Supply kit is the lack of figures. I do have a few separate USAAF Airfix figures left over from a previous project but don’t understand why the RAF set gets them but not this. 🤷♂️ Edited March 3 by Tour de Airfix

The old sets from the 1970s had crew figures, but the recent bomber resupply set didn’t. 😞

Airfix no longer have a figure sculptor, hence the lack of new figures 😥
