Trains1707822545
Does the Hornby elite support Sound latching for multi start decoders.
96RAF
Not sure what multi-start decoders are, but Elite function buttons are on-off if short pressed but if pressed and held they become momentary.Whether a function is one or the other is usually down to the decoder build not the controller e.g. TTS have play-once or repeat looping sounds. Pressing and holding a play-once sound will not keep it going, you have to select off then on again.
Trains1707822545
They have options to run either a cold start or a Normal start on dcc Sound, some can even do a failed start.
96RAF
Yes - TTS has that on F9. F9 cold-start is selected before F1 sound-on is selected. Older TTS decoders had a fixed cold start sequence that played through then it would catch and settle to idle. Later TTS decoders have the enhanced cold start (ECS) where it plays a random set of fails to start until you deselect F9 whereupon it catches and settles to idle.I thought maybe you were talking dual mode locos like Class 73 electro-diesel or multiple engined locos like some DMUs or Deltic with two real motors in the one shell.
