B-52G Vietnam War

Hi All,

I was excited to recently get a modelcollect B-52G "Early Type 1967-1972 in Linebacker II Vietnam War" 1:72 kit, but have been disappointed by the decals provided, which have no specific aircraft markings, nor era-appropriate stencils. I've asked modelcollect if they intend to fix this ("No"), and asked Caracal Models if their forthcoming B-52G sheet will include Vietnam markings (it will not).

As such, I'm wondering where to go next to acheive a Vietnam War B-52G?

My understanding is that by the time the G joined the conflict for the Linbacker operations, they would have been in SIOPs colours (rather than SEA Camo with black undersides) as part of the 72nd Strategic Wing (Prov).

Does anyone know what size roundels need to be on this, if there's an appropriate stencil set (Warbird?) and if there are any generic USAF letter/number sets that would allow me to represent an actual aircraft (I believe they were very plain, so just tail numbers/letters)?

Cheers,

Andrew
