Cheers Patrick. Based on the catalogue page, I'd suggest that the tooling is actually MPC and 1/25 scale. I don't recognise the Ford J itself, but the Toyota 2000GT convertible, the Aston Martin DB5, the Monkeemobile and the surf Ford Woodie were all licenced MPC tools. I think the 3 "muscle cars" were as well.

I'd also not be surprised to find an aftermarket "conversion set" for the beer runner. After all, it only needs the "JR" suffix to the id code, new serials, and a couple of beer casks. (presuming the kit includes wing bomb racks)

Exactly so Rod; part of the issue is that we only really see display/museum painted warbirds these days.

That would be because the Phantom II (all variants in model form) has its CoG forward of the main wheels, so it doesn't need nose weighting. That said, there's some good advice here for types that do.

Nice build; as you imply the model is "wargames standard", in particular the external fuel tanks should be 2 on one side and one on the other but I didn't know that back in the 1970s.

Memory says H11 "silver fox", H14 "French blue", H33 "matt black", and maybe dark brown and flesh for the pilot.
