  1. I'm looking to buy one of the mystery bundles for some fun. Before I bought one I wanted to see what types of kits people were getting and how much money people were saving and I noticed one thing in common with all the kits. They all got the Spitfire Mk 1a, the P-51D, and a Mig 17. I know that the kits will receive in the bundle are probably based on which kits airfix has a surplus of, but I believe that they should make an effort to try and actually make each package different. Please let me know what you guys think.
  2. I agree, I had the same problem. My 1:72 scale skyhawk didn't come with a canopy, yet I had to pay 5 pounds to get a new one. I ended up just making look like the pilot was ejecting because I didn't want to pay.
  3. I definitely agree that airfix should make a merlin.
  4. Hello everyone, surely I'm not the only one who thinks a Merlin Helicopter in any scale would be good? I think the Merlin is such a cool helicopter and it would make a great addition to the small amount of helicopters we have.
  5. One that I would like to see is for airfix to bring back the 1:72 scale Avro Schackleton.
  6. Hi Jess, I believe that would improve the forum is being able to receive notifications. For example, if someone replies to my post, it tells me. One last thing is if you could change it or have a place where it is a bit like an Instagram where people can post photos and just scroll and see what people have built. Thanks!
  7. Looks great Ratch! I was just wondering whether you airbrush or hand brush the Harrier. If so which airbrush and paints did you use? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I currently building the 1:72 scale A4b Skyhawk, I to lost a clear part and to ship it to Canada it cost me 8 pounds. You are able to email them at spares@airfix.com. If you tell them all of your delivery info, they can tell you the cost of shipping. Hope this helps!
  9. Hi, I'm about to build a BF-109, and the paint scheme on it is full of straight lines. I was wondering if any of you had any tips on how to mask something, and what I should use. Thanks.
  10. Hi, I was thinking about getting into airbrushing, and I was wondering what I would need to airbrush. Could any of you recommend a cheap yet good airbrush, and all the other essentials I would need to start airbrushing? Thanks!
  11. I know what all of you are thinking, however, I recently just got back into the hobby, and one of my favourite WW2 bombers of all time is the Avro Shackleton. I know Airfix used to do one but I wish they would bring it back because I can't find any of them for a reasonable price. The cheapest I could find was 60 pounds. I just would like for Airfix to bring back the Avro Shackleton!
  12. Hello everyone, and Ratch. I had a question about parts that didn't come with my kit. I'm building the 1:72 scale A-4B Skyhawk and realized that I don't have a canopy. I checked everywhere. It wasn't in the box. I was wondering if any of you knew where I could order extra parts? Thanks! thumbsup
  13. Hi, I was thinking about joining the Airfix club and realized that since I lived outside of the U.K, I would have to pay a small fortune to get it shipped to where I live. I've added some things and realized that to get free shipping I would have to purchase a couple more small things, and my total came up to 29.98 pounds! This was without tax but I was wondering if any of you knew whether I would still be able to get free shipping or not because tax isn't included. Thanks!
  14. Hi, I had a question about the Airfix Club. I'm living outside of the U.K as of right now and was looking at signing up for the club, however, it says the "Red Box" must be purchased separately if you are outside of the U.K. My question was do I have to pay extra for the box or do I get it for free if I've signed up. If I need to pay extra, how much is it? Thanks!
  15. The Mosquito is one of my favourite planes from WW2, and I would like to build a Mosquito that is larger than 1:72 scale, like maybe a 1:48, OR maybe even a 1:24 scale!
