Brightstar
Hi All, I have been examining the Hornby R8266 cable and I discovered that it is infact an RJ11 cable. The specification for RJ12 cables and jacks is for a 3 pair cable with all pairs connected at the RJ11/12 jack plug. RJ11 cables only use a 2 pair cable connected to the four inner pins of the RJ11/12 jack plug. Hornby cable has 2 pairs, terminsted on the four inner contscts of themJack plugs. This information may help you when sourcing longer cbles to connect to the xpressnet plugs on contollers, boosters ect.
