Brew Man
I discovered a week or so ago that sadly the TCS's UK operation has been wound up. I found them particular useful for direct plug decoders which were very reasonably priced at £19. The US part of the company still does them but at a much less attractive price of just under $44, which is approximately £32.50 at the current exchange rate. Then there is the shipping from the US. Coastal DCC and Digitrains stock their decoders but the prices are still not great.A sad pass.
ColinB
I suppose they didn't make enough money, but I do wonder why.
Brew Man
I guess that must be the case. I also wonder why their prices were so much below those of the parent company, not that I was complaining.
Bulleidboy
That's a pity - I bought a number of the plug-in TCS DP2X-UK decoders, and as has been said, they were very reasonably priced at £19.00. When they first opened in the UK I did speak to the guy who ran it, and got the impression it was some sort of franchise operation - it all appeared to work well - but it is a very competitive marketdisappointed_relieved.
