M. Matthews
From what I understand, normal track spacing or the "6 foot" for hornby track is 67mm?Does anybody know what this is reduced to If you use an express Point and an r628 curve to bring the track back to parallel? Many Thanks
RDS
I have loaded these pieces into the Track designer software 'AnyRail' and it looks as if it reduces the spacing by about 10mm. I will have another look tomorrow if I have any of the actual track pieces to see if I can get an accurate measurement, or another look at AnyRail to see if I can obtain a more accurate dimension. 96RAF
I shall go out to the train room later and measure my track spacing - all points are Hornby Express.Reading left to right across those rails - centre to centre ...This end - left layby = 58mm, through rails = 68mm, right layby = 48mmFar end - left = 58mm then centre = 75mm then right = 52mmSo obviously I flexed things a bit to make them fit.According to Scarm I used R628s off the points.
