I used to have a Scalextric 500 back in the 70s/80s and it had a nice simple lap counter. Shame there doesn't seem to anything like it now. Posted December 28, 2022 Share Posted December 28, 2022 No. That is a digital lap counter that is made for digital powerbases like ARC PRO or the older C7042.The main difference is the cars are assigned IDs and that is used to know which car is on which lap.The Back to future/Knight Rider set is analog.You could swap the powerbase for ARC AIR which would include wireless controllers as well as a myriad of new features:https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/app-race-controlIf you can get your hands on an older ARC ONE you can simply open it up and disconnect the wires tot he track (takes all of 2 minutes and is fully reversible) and that will give you almost all the features of ARC AIR:There are no other analog lap counters available at the time as far as I know except for older, used ones ....
