Michael-1278598
Hi. I got the boy the battery operated Batman v Joker set for Christmas. It worked fine for a few laps but then both cars just stop whenever they go through the loop, and just hang upside down.I tried the half pipe version and the same thing happens. Any ideas please? Thank you.
Andy P.
Hi There,I am not sure what you mean by half pipe- Do you mean half the loop i.e. the car is shooting off into the air?More than likely the cars and track need a little servicing:https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/track-maintenancehttps://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/car-maintenanceMore than likely the braids need a little tweaking... Michael-1278598
Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. The half pipe is the loop pieces on their side, same issue though, the cars just stick to it. Is it normal to need maintenance after one twenty second use?! Thank you
Andy P.
I don't see a "half pipe" section on this page:https://uk.scalextric.com/products/micro-scalextric-batman-vs-joker-set-battery-powered-race-set-g1155mDepending on the environment if there is a lot of dust, carpet, animal fur etc. it could very will be that the wheels and gears are getting full of junk.Track should not be in too bad of shape though.... Paul-346202
Hey Michael, I know this is an old thread now but I just picked up a secondhand set to expand my track and it came with a loop. I had similar issues. This set was well used and had rust on the rails which is strange as the new track isn't that old. I cleaned it all up and serviced the cars and still issues. I isolated it to one section and checked connectivity and it wasn't making a good connection. The track can easily bend so this means it is prone to not working. Flop the track over and check the tabs are holding the rail to the sections. Some bending with a screwdriver may be needed. I also had issue with a brand new set. As slot cars are working toys with electronics they can be fidly and temperamental but that is true of the old and new AFX sets too. You have to have be able to maintain them and do maintenance on them. It is just a big electrical circuit some times frustrating but lots of fun!
