Pedro48
Hi again everyone.Firstly I have given up on the derailing problems with the Flying Scotsman and Cock O the North.I am now running a Terrier (R30005X) and a Mallard (R3395TTS). Both have been running very well and the Terrier goes all over my layout without problem. Recently the Mallard has been tripping eLink, not always at the same point of the layout. I reset eLink and it runs okay for 2or 3 circuits and then trips eLink again, it is not derailing and I cannot see any reason for the tripping.Could it be a problem with the loco? Any ideas? Fishmanoz
Sounds to me like the Mallard might be just overloading the eLink power. Are you running the eLink with the supplied 1 Amp PSU? If so, it might be time to upgrade to the 4 Amp.
Pedro48
Thank you, what is the upgrade and how can I locate it, I am in Perth, Australia.
96RAF
You need the Hornby P9300 4-amp power pack but you will also require a local UK to Oz plug adapter.A Toshiba 15v laptop supply with the correct 6.3mm jack plug can be found much cheaper than the Hornby PSU, but you should be aware the overload/short self-protection may not be as good as the Hornby device. zeroOneman
Although the mallard doesn't always trip the elink in the same place, does it always do it when passing through sets of points?
