poliss
In researching the answer to a question about connecting Select's together I checked the manuals in the downloads section of the website. https://www.hornby.com/downloads/instruction-manuals/r8213-hornby-select/ In the Select Walkabout manual it says it should be connected to the Elite or Select using the R8236 RJ12 connecting lead. According to a post by HCC on the forums this should read R8266 RJ11 cable. https://www.hornby.com/forums/hornby-forums/hornby-digital/2224/?page=1#post21845 The Select manual also says to use the RJ12 cable, but does not give an R number. The Hornby Shop has the R8266 lead listed as an RJ12 and not an RJ11. The newly updated Elite manual also says to use an RJ12 cable. https://www.hornby.com/downloads/instruction-manuals/r8214-hornby-elite/ Anomaly: In the Select manual it says, "The Hornby Select unit is capable of having connected to it up to 7 Select Walkabout units." but in the page comparing the Elite to the Select and in the Select Walkabout manual it says, "Up to 8 ‘Select Walkabout’ units can be connected to the ‘Select’ for individual control of 9 locomotives." Which is correct? https://www.hornby.com/hornby-dcc/controllers/ The Select manual also refers to the R8215 decoder which was discontinued how many years ago? The Select multilingual manual also seems to have the same errors.

poliss
No probs admin. :-) Thanks for the clarification. I guessed that some of it was things not being updated. It wasn't just the Walkabout manual though. It was also the newly updated Elite manual that had the wrong cable number.
