Going Spare Posted March 16, 2023 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Which, if the Canterbury & Whitstable Railway (the Crab & Winkle Line) also opened in 1830, is anything to go by, it's one tunnel of 828 yards was bored to such restricted dimensions that the South Eastern Railway 0-6-0 tank loco's working the branch until its closure in 1952 had to have cut-down cabs and boiler fittings.
