  1. SK - Second Corridor SO - Second Open RMB - Restaurant Miniature Buffet RB - Restaurant Buffet BG - Brake Gangwayed / Full Brake / Parcels
  2. For more info (& manuals etc.) about HM|DC (HM6000) please see: https://uk.hornby.com/community/advice/introducing-the-app-based-analogue-control and https://support.hornby.com/hc/en-gb/sections/360005606180-HM-DC
  3. This quote is from @96RAF (back in March 23): Be aware now that HM7K app is live that there are 2 different rev states each for 6000 and 6010 when used in each app. A pest for now but it will be sorted by an update to the HM6K app. HM | DCC (7000 series) • HM6000 - v1.12.0 • HM6010 - v1.10.1 HM | DC (analogue control) • HM6000 - v1.8.2 • HM6010 - v1.6.3 These are the correct versions users need to be on for each app. I’m not sure if the situation has changed? - but haven’t seen/heard any update.
  4. @What About The Bee lovely idea - but doubtful it’d be compatible with Hornby’s current order system. They produce an invoice at point of order placement, hence locking the price due. If they were to make additions/modifications to the order (requiring a new invoice) - they would then need to address any potential price change(s) involved. Alternatively any ‘grouping’ of orders within a delivery/shipment is currently outside their control - that would require either their existing outsourced logistics partner to use a different system, or a completely different logistics arrangement!
  5. Unfortunately no update - it’ll be released as soon as it’s ready!
  6. Erm… Hornby PLC own LCD Enterprises Limited https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/03005140/persons-with-significant-control
  7. Hornby own Oxford Diecast - but the link isn’t particularly advertised, presumably due to Oxford’s ranges technically competing with Corgi’s & Hornby’s.
  8. Wow, so many varied designs of the original ‘open’ 2nd Class carriages. Fascinating research - many, many thanks @What About The Bee
  9. If Helicopters are allowed then: • Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane • Boeing AH-64 Apache • Boeing CH-47 Chinook • Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey (VTOL rather than helicopter)
  10. If by regular you are asking do Hornby hold multiple offers in a year - then answer is yes, in recent times. If by regular you are asking do Hornby hold the same offer multiple times per year or same time each year - then answer is no. They have offered double hobby points redeem value, double points earned value, 15% off (all only for items in stock) - they have also offered specific items at a significant reduction - ‘outlet’ sale.
  11. Surely rickety, dangerous & ugly award goes to F.E.2b/c/d?
  12. You need to view the webpage’s html source code (also known as metadata) search within that for ‘product:availability_date’.
  13. There are no dimensions listed in manual for these - probably due to the fact that they are still in development!
  14. Rule #1 - do I like it? 🤦‍♂️😂
  15. That message suggests you have an active (paid for) Club membership - which already includes a discount/enhanced reward points. Hornby discounts/offers generally can’t be stacked so the ‘Save15’ code can only be used against RRP prices. If you don’t have another discount/membership applied - then possibly just a glitch (as per previous suggestions.)
  16. I wonder if they view the catalogue as being the April magazine? Guess we’ll find out, by whether anything else shows up before Aug/Sep!
  17. The most important thing is not to mix narrow & large - almost guaranteed derailments if you do. The narrow ones are intended for rakes of modern stock - wagon pockets with ability to flex & coach pockets mounted on an extending/centring cam system. The large are compatible with older (Triang to 90s) wagons & coaches (& railroad range with fixed pockets) where all movement has to be accommodated in the coupling hoops themselves. I don’t know the purpose of the medium ones - perhaps others can advise about those?
  18. Are you referring to the ‘Device Health Check’ section of the app? (where it lists the parts of the sound profile - if any of these are listed as missing/not installed - it usually indicates you are having difficulty with WiFi or Bluetooth connection.) Alternatively if a different process is indicating a fault with physical installation of decoder… which pin type of decoder are you experiencing the trouble with? and were they factory fitted, or installed by yourself? (No need to answer these questions if the trouble shooting guides resolve the issue - but they would be useful to know if you need further assistance.)
  19. So you’re seeking a Scalextric equivalent to the Corgi Premium concept? Possibly the best route would be to email your enquiry to: marketing@scalextric.com (unless someone else can supply a direct answer)
  20. Found it by Googling: URL: https://static.wixstatic.com/media/925154_d63a9481d4204ae196b54365f4f65fde~mv2.jpg
  21. Considering Hornby are (a) wanting to actively promote HM|DCC (HM7000) & (b) trying to change their catalogues to only show mainly new products that will actually be available within 6-12 months… It seems perfectly reasonable that eLink, Select & Elite are likely to become the forgotten relations (at least in marketing terms) for the foreseeable future. However it is highly doubtful that they (Select/Elite at least) will actually cease being sold & supported (until an equivalent replacement actually becomes available*) - since that would render the development investment spent on the dongle more than a bit pointless! * Hornby have given no indication there even is any replacement being considered - let alone in development!
  22. @Trainzer a logic level output essentially means one that commands/instructions can be sent to (hence you seeing minor lighting dimness changes.) But it is not a full output (with a completely independent circuit) - hence no on/off control. If you want complete control of all lights, your only realistic* option is to use a different decoder that has 5/6 full functions. *someone comfortable with diy electronics would say there is another alternative: attach a relay between the logic outputs & carriage lighting circuit - but this requires knowledge/skill, (and willingness to potentially risk voiding warranties) that is outside the majority of people’s comfort zone!
  23. The Elite & eLink have both been listed in the ‘last chance’ category many times before this latest one. So unless Hornby possesses an astronomical stockpile of both that they are attempting to reduce, I’m in agreement with @Moccasin
  24. Since this sounds like a new bug that hasn’t been identified previously, it would be sensible to email hm.customercare@hornby.com and provide the devs with more details. That will aid them to identify and resolve the cause of the issue.
  25. @GMD the following suggestions: • a tactile interface for Bluetooth control (which is very similar to your request.) & • a Bluetooth equivalent of the eLink - (removing need for select/elite with dongle) for those who like touch control of all locos. …have been put to both Hornby (during Q&As) & the HM7k devs, however the response has only been either ‘never say never’ or silence. So whilst the relevant personnel are certainly aware of those requests - Hornby are only likely to proceed if whatever black magic involved, indicates that those are profitably viable options!
