Using N gauge trackside buildings with TT120

Because of the current shortage of pre-built trackside buildings for TT120, does anyone think it would be aesthetically correct to use N gauge buildings instead?

I have a few n gauge products on the TT 120 layout but the ones from british manufacturers look better as they’re slightly larger than their European counterparts

If you use N gauge buildings at the rear of your layout, and the very few 120 ones near the front, in can help to create a so-called ‘forced perspective’.

There is a significant difference in scale between the two so I wouldn't place them immediately next to each other, but they may be OK as a background forced perspective effect as suggested above.

Also note that the scale used for N models varies a little depending on whether the building is intended for UK (1:148) or or rest of the world (1:160), and there's even a difference in apparent scale with different manufacturers of British N buildings (for example Metcalf card kits seem larger scaled than Kestrel plastic kits).
