  1. Along with the usual retailers we know and use, EBay features a couple or three more with very deep pockets and lots of discount.
  2. Agreed, ridiculously impressive; even the background scenics of Conwy valley and mountains, Conwy castle and mountain, the estuary and the Llandudno junction buildings are incredibly faithful and look hand painted to scale. I should know, it’s my local station and parts of my tt120 layout are based on it, the 6G sheds and the Conwy valley branch line to Betws and Blaenau.
  3. I think what we’re discovering here is that TWW is going to be busy fitting 8 pins with sound to the green 08s and the J50s. If only Hornby would send the J50 specs to Rich so that room for a power bank could be located too.
  4. As Doc Brown says to Marty and Jennifer at the end of BTTF 3, “the future is yours to make”
  5. Also, how intricate and delicate would one of those be in our scale?
  6. Has there been a replica locomotive, if so, that’ll fit. 😃
  7. I’ve ‘restricted’ myself to anything that could feasibly have been used on uk tracks in the last 60 years.
  8. @Peachy fast becoming the go to conduit for uk manufacturers’ TT120 news.
  9. Although they remain on my preorders and the Hornby online shop shows spring 2025, TT6017 Glenhafod 21t mineral wagons are absent from the new catalogue
  10. B&W please next time and Pathe news style ‘progress’ music. Maybe with some dialogue by a crusty ex public school boy, the like of which Paul Whitehouse excels.
  11. Encouraging to see two 31s, a 37 and countless trucks that’ll be preordered asap.
  12. I’ve several of them and very pleased. Oh, and the whiff of burning when the box is first opened ….
  13. Oh, and a 3rd loop which is on the inside and provides for running up to five trains running at once but until the 50s arrive I’ve only three.
  14. Yes. Also I’ve two branch lines running off the outer loop, one to a station halt and the other to an elevated fiddle yard (which I’ve found is impossible to show).
  15. Oh, and btw, this is a picture of the OO plan and doesn’t represent TT12O track.
  16. I took the Hornby R7277 plan as my starting point and now it fills a 10’x12’ room but essentially it’s pretty much as is but with the loops expanded to the walls and a station complex where the turntable is. Sadly, I’m without @Rallymatt’s neatness with pen and ink and don’t possess scarm or any rail so an actual plan is not possible.
  17. Or hope that the after market HM7k pioneers find a way of shoehorning an 8 pin into the J50s as they’ve achieved in many 08s.
  18. I put my led signals where they can be seen by me.
  19. I’ve an HST with 3 coaches and magnetic couplings. Runs on R2 upwards at speed and I’ve also tried it on R1 in the sidings without issue. Hope this helps.
  20. Mine is as lovely as a mk1 on the straights and only slightly reticent on curves so initially I’m going to adopt the aforementioned running in method. It’s doing an hour or so with the 08.
  21. Unfortunately, there’s an audience for narcissistic grifters to play to with a willingly complicit media. Witness yesterday’s BBC news website which featured four different articles about Trump and none about the sitting US President. The YT opinionaters you mention have discovered that Hornby TT120 provides oxygen for their tiny little worlds.
  22. Apologies for my poorly worded sentence @Hobby1707822967 my query as to why get involved in this manner was aimed at Accurascale and not the inimitable @Dodge1965
  23. Which begs the question why get involved in this manner.
