My Mallard lifts on R3s and R2s, slips/wheelspins (which can be endearing) and irregularly bounces over Hornby points. Other than that she’s a workhorse 😁

Just received the Rails email after their event with Hornby “A highly anticipated release in TT:120 is the Class 43 HST and Mk3 coaches which should arrive this Spring.”

I’ve spotted DAPR offering a selection of curved N gauge platforms and am expecting that they’re uk 1:148 and will sit comfortably on a bespoke 3 platform station I’m attempting. question is, which of the products would fit best both inside and outside hornby tt120 3rd and 4th radius curves?

I purchased several Hornby R405 signals off eBay, ( the earlier version with the ladder that’s smaller than its successor with the same catalogue number), fitted LEDs to them and run them via the hornby 6010 interface/hm7000 app. But, in the absence of bespoke tt120 accessories I’m increasingly looking at uk n gauge as required.

I’m liking this pre availability build up thread.

I’ve two decoders ready for installation. I’m assuming there’s a speaker/sugar cube already in situ as there’s nothing mentioned in the description. Also, I’ll need to do the ‘consist’ thing.

Unsure what the current day version is called but just seen a 3 carriage on the north wales mainline so that makes me happy

My station platform (and sidings lengths) allows for 3 coaches to be purchased with the HST Swallow. Given that information which 3 would be most prototypical?

Apart from the turntable element I can vouch for the user friendly set up and ease of operation when using the 6010 with lights, signals, and points.

In the move to droppers and bus I’ve been slack at removing 100% of the clips thinking they were mostly harmless

The HST doesn’t even feature in Hornby’s own ‘coming soon’ section of the web shop

Good to see Hornby supporting the dealer(s) with this information though.
