Recently I have been building Airfix 48th kits as aircraft with a local RAF connection a bit of research needed but thankfully getting the markings sorted hasn't been too difficult.

I've still a few more local ones to build including the 502 Sqn Vampire. I hope you like the builds and history.

Several lovely builds - thank you so much for sharing. There are times when I think that going up a scale from my usual 1/72 might be fun, but then I'm aware of the extra costs involved, not to mention the storage space needed! But I really enjoyed looking at what you've done, not least because of my own on-going project based on RAF Warmwell (just down the road from where I live in Dorset).

The latest boxing of the Airfix 1 /48 Hunter finished as GA.11 Fleet Requirements and Development Unit 1976, Ulster connection, in November 1974 this aircraft was delivered to RNAY Sydenham in Belfast to receive modernisation, it was returned to duty wearing this scheme on the 17th of July 1975. This is a lovely kit to build and looks fantastic in the FAA scheme. forum_image_64eeaf75ce064.thumb.png.290dfe3fca8e322f686484e74b864fa1.pngforum_image_64eeaf80eb588.thumb.png.a7135d2b6032e0afcb3aef7e57de5b0d.png
