P-Henny
Just so that we are really clear regarding your query. Do you actually mean TrackMaster or do you actually mean RailMaster. I ask, because many first time posters have posted about TrackMaster when it turned out they really meant RailMaster.TrackMaster was used to design a track layout and animate it digitally in 3D. Originally written for Windows Vista & XP, it has been discontinued & unsupported for many years and even when it was supported it had very clunky graphics.RailMaster has a track plan layout design element to it in 2D only and its primary function is to operate a DCC Digital layout. Where it uses icons on the track plan to operate DCC Accessories such as points, signals and turntables etc.So what is it please ....TrackMaster or RailMaster? Geoff-378466
Hello Paul,I am talking about the track design module in railmaster where I can replicate my layout and operate points etc.Hope this makes my query clear!Geoff
96RAF
The answer is no in that case.
P-Henny
As 96RAF says. There is no inbuilt option in RailMaster to change icon colours. An icon is in effect what a piece of track in the track plan is.It is not necessary to try and replicate the layout as a pictorial representation of your layout. The track plan could just consist of just points that are not interconnected by any track icon pieces at all. The straights and corners are just that, completely inactive icon representation of track pieces. They serve no control function in RM at all and are only there to help us humans to visualise the layout in its entirety. You could if you want, draw each layer as a separate track plan section that represents each separate layer and place them on the screen in a vertical column one above the other (not overlaid) with absolutely no interconnection between them indicated. Then add a text label to indicate which physical layout layer each track plan section relates to. Railmaster doesn't care at all and will not be affected by that drawing of plan approach. Geoff-378466
Thank you Paul for clarifying this for me. I just thought it would be neat if I could!
96RAF
If you want coloured layers draw up your track-plan in SCARM and not only can you colour the track part layers, but you can add wiring, scenery, etc all in different selectable visual layers and that plan will be a true representation of the track pieces, not just an icon.
