Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk IXc

This is my first Airfix model in over fifty years. The last two were the Sunderland Flying Boat and the Lancaster Bomber.

Three months of loving fun.

I have waited many years for a 1 : 24 Spitfire model.

I am a fanatic on Spitfires.

My father worked on Merlin motors at RR in WW11.

He passed on his love of Spitfires to me.

My next projects are the Supermarine S-6B and then the Airfix 1 : 24 Hawker Hurricane.

this is a excellent Kit to build. i have built two of them now

That's very quick. It was only released two weeks ago. It has taken me four weeks to build one, and I'm no slouch.
