Aussie Fred
As he lives in Australia, a return to Hornby themselves is a very expensive exercise and to use the local "agent" is a waste of time and money.
Rallymatt
Return to retailer for refund/replacement? Not sure what the Australian regulations are in these circumstances. Once things start costing retailers/manufacturers money they do tend to start looking at issues such as poor local service/warranty facilities. Aussie Fred
It took 3 months for the "retailer" to get a loco back from the "agent" and he had to fit the replacement motor himself, as they did not have the staff or knowledge to do it themselves. Rallymatt
Essentially there is no local service support, although I have an even worse one from Roco, they can’t fix it themselves and sent it back to me to fix myself..
