poliss
Just noticed in the downloads section that you can download for free a monthly desktop calendar. https://www.hornby.com/downloads/calendar-wallpapers/
37lover
Very nice but I do not get the option to set as wallpaper contrary to the instructions given by hornby..."All you need to do is click on the screen size you require, right click on the wallpaper image and select "Set As Desktop Background." I'm using chrome if that means anything to computer experts.
poliss
Do you have a Wallpaper setting on Chrome? You'll probably need to save the pic as a .png file first.
37lover
Thanks Poliss; got my youngster to help and as you said I/he needed to save file first then set as wallpaper.
poliss
Tere's also a cars calendar on the Scalextric page if you're that way inclined.
Deep_Southern_Railway
Am I missing something, or did BR develop some sort of steel-penetrating x-ray the maintenance crew were using on the Princess?
poliss
I bet you never knew the real locos had DCC decoders in the tender either.
Deep_Southern_Railway
Now I see it! My old R.50 didn't have DCC in the tender (not even pickups), and its X.04 motor didn't look like that! Never mind that it had no valve gear other than the piston, and its center wheel had no rim - it managed first radius curves o.k., but points needed a run up. Still waiting for my Christmas present - the Jubilee set - to arrive in Texas.
