Dave..rave
Hi, something strange seems to be happing. so far 3 times. I have an average layout, just now building up the rolling stock. It is controlled by a Select unit. I can have 2 locs running at a time. When I the put a third on the track (pre-programmed) and try to run it, it dies totally. This has now happened again with a Deltic. Any advise...David
RDS
@Dave..rave What is it that dies totally. Is it the 3rd loco or all of the loco's? I have run 6 loco's at once with a Select Unit (before I upgraded to the Elite) It does depend on which loco's you are trying to run. Some of the older ones take more current than the newer ones. Fishmanoz
Does it matter which order you put them on the track - is it always the third one which dies? If so, you may be running out of power. Are you using the 1Amp supply that came with the Select? And are all your locos new or are one or more older - older draw more current. Three new locos should bevOK with the 1 Amp supply.
poliss
Do you turn the power off at the socket before putting locos on the track?
