Fishmanoz Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 John, if you are thinking of keeping the Select to use as a Walkabout when you get an Elite, just remember it will still have all of the limitations it has as a standalone now. You won't be able to control any loco you have given a 4 digit ID to, you won't be able to operate any point numbered below 60, and you won't be able to use the full range of sound functions on your sound locos. Being able to use a Select as a Walkabout does little to enhance its versatility. That would still be best done if it were heavier and you could use it as a doorstop instead of a brick.
