NELLIE 0-4-0
Hi all,Just a quick questionAs I already have the Hornby Elte DCC controller I am assuming you can just connect up the Railmaster via a pc to the Elite and away you go.All help gratefully received
96RAF
Yes - thats about it. You load RM onto your pc and the Elite will do as RM tells it and pass those commands to your trains.Depending upon how you got RM depends on what you have to do next. The demo version downloaded from Hornby will allow you to try it for 90 days with limited features before you have to decide to buy the activation code that will enable all the latest free features. If you bought RM as a stand alone product you load it and enter the activation from the pack to get to the same place. Then you have to decide if you want to upgrade to ProPack if you decide to pay for those extra special features. If you buy RM with an eLink then you can still use your Elite as a second controller alongside the eLink. RDS
I agree with RAF96, in fact Elite and RM is the solution I use and (in my view) gives the best of both worlds, in that the layout can be controlled by either the computer, or Elite, or even a combination of both without any special or additional wiring. idlemarvel
You need a USB cable as well, in case you haven't grasped that yet, to connect your Elite to your PC, a "printer style" USB cable with square plug at one end and flat plug at the other.
