poliss
It means it doesn't have a socket for a DCC decoder and one will have to be hard wired (soldered) in.
Fishmanoz
I note it isn't expected to be in stock until much later this year too. And sets can be divided into 3 categories with regard to DCC. This one and as described by poliss is intended for DC and must have a decoder soldered in. DCC Ready sets which are still DC but where there is a socket into which a decoder can be fitted easily for DCC conversion (Flying Scotsman is an example). Then DCC sets where a decoder is already fitted and a DCC controller (either a basic Select or Railmaster plus eLink depending on the set) comes with it.
