British railgun

Is possible that Hornby at look into producing a railway gun, l think that they were used in WW2 in the east of England , possibly around the 12 inch calibre, these may have some interest for the wargamers and military modelers as well .I know Triang had the Battle Space series but l think these were more for the play value rather than realistic models. There are some large German guns but these are perhaps rather unwieldy for a model railway .Thanks Eddy.

I have a kit for a german one and have contemplated making it into a working item of stock (can be pulled by a loco not shoot!) but it is in 1:72 rather than OO (which is 1:76) so I think I am going to have some trouble!

I think one of the british ones would be nice - have you seen these clips:

There is one still around a Bl 18". No L1 short range howitzer (13 miles) There's a old write up in the mail on line if any ones interested.  Other guns tended to be 14" but with a longer gun and a greater range on the guns degree lift.
