SOPHIE WESTALL
These were good kits and it is the 200th anniversary of Waterloo this year.
Neil Merryweather1707820195
I can't believe these have gone out of production in the first place. I made SO many of them as a teenager , and they are fantastic for conversions. its clearly too late for the 200 th waterloo anniversary , but lets get campaigning for these to be brought back
Frederick Kullas
Too late for the actual Waterloo campaign but not for the year.I strongly agree with this suggestion, as well as these, the other figures in the range.
paul_ward
Yes please. Some of my all-time favourite kits (at least as a teenager!)
Ratch
I'd certainly buy multiple kits.
Vincent Gribbin1707820353
Yes please I built many! Are we also talking about the boxes of plastic figures? These were great and my brother and I had masses of these which we used to line up for mass scale Napoleonic battles!
Ratch
No, just the big stuff.http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24350312/411313323.jpg
ctayfor
I would efinitely go along with this. I also used several for conversions too (even to the extent of producing a Saxon raider confronted by a mounted Romano British cavalryman).
Nicholas ten Kleij
Hear, hear. I fully agree with the previous statements.
Ratch
By cross-kitting there are many possibilities.Coldstream Guards Sergeanthttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24273664/411219992.jpg42nd Black Watch Officerhttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24273664/411240868.jpgSergeant, 93rd Foothttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24350312/411313569.jpgGrenadier Private, 17th (Leicestershire) Regimenthttp://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1312/4776356/19644815/410268594.jpg92nd Highland Officerhttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24273664/411220012.jpgMaréchal-Ferranthttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24350312/411313317.jpg
Sbolingb
Yes please. All of these. I think you would get multiple sales of each model as they were a great way to make larger scale dioramas for little money. I'd buy several.
peter_thornhill
It was a real pleasure to make these as a youngster , you felt that you had joined the grown-ups andthe chance to make them again would be great . I have always wanted to try making a diorama with conversionsto some of the kits .
BARRY PARKER
any of these would be welcome but especially the Cuirassier or Lancer i'm fed up with e-bay prices.
David Jones1707820337
Yes, Yes, YES!(although a piece of lead sheet instead of that plasticard would be a nice addition)(and ask Humbrol to do a can of tartan paint for the Highlander ) Admin edit: Please don't swear (this includes "hiding" particular letters)
Julian Torres
Please god. It is a great idea.
Graham Thompson
I cannot see why these great figures cannot be re released. It is nothing cost wise to produce these compared to the R&D that goes into new aircraft or armour kits. Figure painters/modellers are a huge part of the hobby, why wold Airfix not support them? bernard_pratt
Yes please. I still have the Airfix Magazine feature on converting a few Grenadier Guardsmen to make a Waterloo colour party, so I'm waiting with debit card poised.
mike_arnold
These figures were excellent and I built a dozen or so including Washington. Yes it would be a great time to bring them back in 2015
Braille Dave
I doubt it is 'Nothing cost wise to produce these compared to the R&D that goes into new aircraft or armour kits'.....If anything the amount of research required will be way, way greater from a time where there is little or no formal information. Even the chemical compositions for the dyes used for the uniforms are subject to some conjecture. Even the word 'red' covered a range from almost yellow through orange, russet brown to what we now call crimson. And that's just colours.
