MG Writer
They were both also offered in the USA with chromed bits under the "US Airfix" brand. Would be great to see again.

GeoFF03
The Rapier is the first Airfix car I can remember. My dad built one for me when I was about 5 or 6 (over fifty years ago)
null_null75
I still have a bagged (never opened) Rapier. It has the basic coulored header card. I never dared to open it so a re-release via Kit Starter would be nice. It gives the chance to build one.
MG Writer
It would be nice to know if the MG 1100 tooling survives...

mgbooyv8
I support both models. I have never seen the Sunbeam Rapier but have seen the MG1100 for silly prices at modelling and classic car shows.

Brian Canell
Here's a Sunbeam I restored a while back. I got the kit off e-Bay. It had some bits missing which had to be scracth built and there were no wheels, so I used Airfix MGB wires.I'd like to see these rare old cars come back. Classic cars are very popular at the moment and there must be half a dozen classic car programmes that have been on TV over the past few years. So come on Airfix, you've got the tooling, give them a clean and shoot some plastic through them! http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp303/BACAIRFIX/Airfix%20Built%20Kits/SunbeamRapier04_zps3eb98d76.jpg http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp303/BACAIRFIX/Airfix%20Built%20Kits/SunbeamRapier14_zps49874927.jpg http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp303/BACAIRFIX/Airfix%20Built%20Kits/SunbeamRapier10_zps2458c7ea.jpg
paul-muc
@MG WriterThe Vauxhall was sold for about 25 Euros some months ago. The same with a Sunbeam Rapide. An there was a third kit of this kind for a similar price, but I don't remember the name.

Just goes to show that with a bit of care, some of those old kits were basically sound for their day. It would be nice to see some of these rarely re-issued models back. If, of course, the tooling survives...
NORMAN PARKER
I would like to see the BMC1100 kit re-issued but including extra parts to make a normal standard guise Austin/Morris 1100, as they were made in greater quantities. I.e. bonnet and front grill.
