Sunbeam Rapier and BMC 1100.

Here's a Sunbeam I restored a while back. I got the kit off e-Bay. It had some bits missing which had to be scracth built and there were no wheels, so I used Airfix MGB wires.

I'd like to see these rare old cars come back. Classic cars are very popular at the moment and there must be half a dozen classic car programmes that have been on TV over the past few years. So come on Airfix, you've got the tooling, give them a clean and shoot some plastic through them!

What a beautiful build! Just goes to show that with a bit of care, some of those old kits were basically sound for their day. It would be nice to see some of these rarely re-issued models back. If, of course, the tooling survives...
