They could easily make a street version of the DBR9 or the Jaguar XKR GT3. Beautiful cars, but if there ist no interest .......

When looking at the pictures of the new MiG-17 in Workbench it seemed to me, that the canopy doesn`t fit with the rear part. Am I right or wrong?

When clicking on the link to an entry in the forum, I don' get there but to the subforum where this entry has been posted. So I have to click there again on the post. This could be shortened as it had been before.

Airfix Forum Gallery 2020 (Pandemic Special!)

Why can't the moderators be authorized to approve pics for this thread? They know Airfix models very well. BTW: You don't have to entitle any model as "Airfix XXX ...", as this forum is exclusively Airfix and other brand are not allowed. I posted some pics yesterday morning for another thread. Still not approved. -
This is an old one, started abour 35 years ago and saved from the shelf of doom thes days. /media/tinymce_upload/60b026f6e181c6011f0dbe9a19fc8d7c.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/80ffd6bd387d7346b2df763e30175d89.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/a0b297babe0d90eedc2229f3567096a3.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/ca920466838249aa70a01e0faff52447.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/139f07e2c039b7e3e3b11a226695e75c.jpg Despite the age it is a very good kit, a candidate for the vintage series.

You could put the axle into one of the body halves (don't glue), then glue a small piece of sprue behind it so that it doesn't slip into the body after glueing the halves together. Take care that the axle still spins. Later, when you are finished with painting, you glue the propeller onto the axle.

The Maserati Indy comes in a large starter set. https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/shop/vehicles/cars/maserati-indy.html I think it*s way toooo expensive.

Memories are made of this. I did this kit when I was a young guy. As the Hs 123 was always a favorite of mine, I gave her a second try and this time the result was much better. The decals of this version of the kit had been too stiff and weren't useable. So I searched in the spares box and found these ones of a Fw 190. The markings aren't correct but it looks right. Paint brushed, weathered with pigments and finished with matt varnish by airbrush. The swastika is censored because of legal reasons (Germany). /media/tinymce_upload/47bb307c5b444452282613e61a1f68d5.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/79bc169327a3a83fa2c8870dc8479a80.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/3147053b35c61d54b72775b665616e4e.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/0cced30e13326a79389d783a3b36786e.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/587ce0fe9ac38672f3c96892f2d87222.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/717ab7d9d45a7881a8a549bc3c78f94e.jpg

In the last edition of Workbench we are asked: Should Airfix be looking to re-enter the 1/350th scale ship market and if so, which particular vessels would be most popular with modellers? We are desperately keen to hear your views on and we would be grateful if you would let us have your thoughts by dropping us a quick e-mail at our usual workbench@airfix.com address. Would you welcome the return of Airfix to the1/350th scale ship model arena and if so, which vessels would you like to see produced. On a slightly more specific note, would you welcome the addition of a Queen Elizabeth class carrier in this scale? Any suggestions? So send your mail.

I've read that in these days Bentley will re-produce 12 examples of the Bentley 4,5 ltr Blower of 1929 (perhaps because of the 90th anniversary?). Could this be a chance of a reissue of the Airfix model in 1/12 scale? Oh, no. Sorry, I forgot: No cars at all!
-
I remember that, when intruducing the "vintage classics" series, they said, that in the future Airfix would only offer kits of their own. Am I wrong or has this been forgotten?
-
There is a kit of AMP.
-
Meanwhile there have been four updates of Workbench and Aerodome but the links still refer to the old editions of May.
-
Hopefully the Hs 123 wil be one of the Vintage Classics with fresh decals. What is a BM group build?

What about the file size? Meanwhile I hate those smartphone pics with 3 - 9 mb file size with the result of a very slow loading of the page.

What is the best airbrush to start with?
paul-muc replied to Wolfe10's topic in Humbrol (Techniques, Tips & Craft)
I thought, this is an interesting alternative for young model builders with a limited budget, but who want tu use an airbrush. You can see that I got good results with this cheap equipment when looking at the models I have posted in Cars and Aircraft. I still work with it (see Humber Snipe and Jaguar cockpit).
