  1. Hello, If you send some pictures of the problem, it would help in understanding and suggesting a solution. Richard
  2. Hello All, Here are some photos from my little winter rally layout [ 76 x 183 ] cm
  3. Hello Everyone, Kids want play value and volume sales from that side fund the needs of the older hobbyist. The kids I know want some flexible track as they have for their lego trains. I also would get some for my offroad visions of a 'rough and undulating' road.
  4. Thank you for the advice. The part about the decals being lost is scary. So I will live with the off-white. sweat_smile
  5. Hello All, and a happy new year, I have noticed that over time my white Scalextric cars turn Berge. Perhaps it's the aging of the clear coat. Is there anything that can be done to restore the white areas while preserving the "decals"?
  6. Hi Everyone, Here is what I did. I opened my Arc Air unit and found the two leads that feed track 2 [green] and routed them through a double-throw switch. That way both leads are isolated from track 2 when the switch is off and track 2 is fully powered again when the switch is on. I drilled a small hole in the side of my Arc Air to mount the switch. With the switch off [ lane 2 isolated] and the Arc Air app set up for one driver, Rally tracks are possible! [no short circuit error] With the switch on you are back to the normal Arc Air un. See the photos below of my little 76 x 184 cm [30 x 72-inch] rally circuit on a folding table for apartment dwellers with limited space.
  7. Hello Everyone, Thanks for the information shared. I did not know this was so involved. I thought that perhaps Scalextric's software engineers had missed a few lines of code that resulted in the speeds being displayed in the wrong boxes.
  8. Hello Everyone, Recently I started to use the new version of the ARC app with my Arc Air setup. [i like the classic App] However, I have noticed that in the section More Statistics the Average speed is higher that the Top speed. How is this possible? I am set to km/hour [real]. I tried changing to km/hour [scale]. No change. The average speed remained higher than the Top speed. Has anyone observed this or can explain it?
  9. Hello Scalextric Design, Yes, an excellent budget car you have in the Rally Start model. Keep it going with new liveries. In my part of the world, the bodies are repainted and modified to take front and rear LEDs. For your next iteration please create a hatchback version. Keep it simple, same chassis, front, etc. Looking forward to this. Sincerely, Richard
  10. Hello Scalextric Design. Your Scalextric start rally car is an excellent budget car. I have several of them including the new Castrol version. How about some 'hobby' versions such as your very own Scalextric version and an Airfix version, also a Corgi version, a Hornby version, a Hambrol version [that one should be very colourful], to name a few. This should not be a problem since you all come under the Hornby Hobbies umbrella. Thanks for reading. All the best. Richard
  11. Hello Andy, You are correct on the logic of the existing C8210. The track proposed could introduce a lot of 'bang and bash' fun in a small space when multiple units are used. grinning
  12. Hello Scalextric track Design Engineers, Could you produce the cross-over from the Classic Era but in the Sport format as shown in the pic. This would be more versatile for your layout-building customers.
  13. Thanks, It would be interesting to set it up with Magic Arc App on a PC and see if they all work.
  14. Hello to All, Does SPARKPLUG work with the ARC ONE power base?
  15. Yes, I agree the Hillman Imp would be a most welcome classic.
