  1. Thank you 96RAF. Of course you are right, my disappointment, at being denied after waiting for 3 months for confirmation that one was on its way to me, took over. Yes! Please Simon, please, please , initiate a second batch, but do so exactly per the original in order to maintain the concept of a Set, available to all Hornby Collectors rather than another variation to be obtained. All the new production could carry the Certificate Numbers 1 or 500, no matter how many they are. Perhaps an approach from the Forum invigilators to Simon would be effective.

  3. I have missed out on obtaining a coronation Coronation due to the quantity being limited to 200. This compares with 2000 + for the Elizabeth 2, and thus likely prevents me ever obtaining a “set”. Please see my blog on the Collectors Club selection of this forum and join with me in pushing Hornby to re introduce this loco exactly as batch 1, and at £149.95, and so provide it for all rather than just for eBay investors or millionaires.
  4. I re- joined the Collectors Club after a 2 year gap immediately I saw the unbelievable 200 item plan for Coronation. I believe I placed an immediate order, but this month I found out that my order may have jumped the gun and so was not recognised. My Collecting is now doomed to be forever incomplete, so why should I continue. I invite all Hornby Supporters, but especially members of the the Collectors Club, to join me in DEMANDING that Hornby re introduce this loco to the range, packed identically as the original batch and with a Certificate starting at 201.
  5. If it’s more than 2 locos then the problem is probably the track, and you solving it with a change of item illustrates this. The problem could be the simple alignment between the points and crossover, particularly if entering from a curve, OR a small lump under either piece of track thus affecting local vertical alignment, or an entry via up or down a slight slope, OR small misalignment of the track joiner. It could also be that the track has incorrect spacing between rails; this could be caused by tips of rails not bedding fully, but frequently by the curved rail having the wrong curvature resulting in variable spacing with the fixed rail. It could also be incorrect alignment across the track sections; does the track here have super elevation or negative elevation crossways? .Sorry about such a list, isn’t it a wonder that trains go through multiple curves, points and crossovers at all. It’s solving problems like yours which keeps the hobby interesting!Alan 9393
