With my ageing eyes, I find I need 4 lamps angled in from different directions, plus reading glasses! But white light LED is a must for at least some of the lighting, it is fabtastic, almost as good as sunlight.

Lots of good advice there, Z-dog! Learning by doing is great, and necessary, but a few extra hints are great.
