  1. I always found the NEC expressive and impersonal just not got the atmosphere of Scale Model World
  2. Purchasing and maintaining good quality brush's can deliver good results just enjoy hand painting were you can stop and start unlike the air brushing
  3. Great man a please and honour to meet him one time at Scale Model Word were he described his work as just another job! a lot more than that i thing giviing us such pleasure and memories
  4. Very nice build captured the authentic look of the original you should have no problem with the Belfast kit "take the Plunge"
  5. Thanks Ratch, all good advice good cleaning practice's make air brushing easy and more enjoyable Peter
  6. Would be nice to have a Boston and a Hudson both kits would lend them selves to many versions and markings ?
  7. Excellent modelling of a past modelling time thanks Ratch Great Stuff.
  8. Acrylics have come a long way over the past few years and work well brushed as well as airbrushed as that what i find and using a few drops of retarder certainly makes brush painting a lot better i have used Tamiya over a good number of years and had some good results🙂
  9. Good news Ratch if they are listening we are all in with a chance something possibly to look forward to. Modellers know best at least most of the time !
  10. The Liberator is a welcome kit maybe a future release would bring is the British versions for coastal command and SEAC.
  11. Yes the Liberator would be great edition for 2022 in RAF Coastal Command and a tooling like this would give opportunities for other versions the market is wide open for a kit of the Liberator both here in the UK and the States.
  12. Try placing a white sheet on the floor in the area you are working parts are much easier to find, That's a tip from Rod Stewart long time rail road modeller !
  13. Long out of production i am afraid check out kit dealers or from sales at models shows and more likely the kit swap at SMW Telford, Having got the kit in the stash it will need a lot of work to get a reasonable model from it.
  14. I would try the Hannants acrylic varnishes i have found they work well both brush and airbrush also Tamiya thinned with there own thinner X20A but what has to be rembered is that painting varnish in very hot or very cold conditions can cause problems constant temperature is best for both airbruch or hand painting with a good quality brush. Peter
  15. Hi Guys, This debate on panel lines is all about the eye of the beholder if it looks good to you as the modeller then it is good, As i once asked a Buccaneer pilot do you ever check your aircraft over for weathering or dirty panel lines, Reply, to many other things to do than waist time on that.May be we should look at things from the operators point of view for a change ?
