  1. Hello everyone. Thank you for the advice. Yes, it would appear that Method 1 is the preferred method to install the bushes. Any practical methods of quartering suggestions, please. (I usually just look through the spokes.) Regards 10 Class
  2. Hello everyone. Some advice if you can please? I need to replace the insulated driving wheel bushes on FS R850/5. Is it best to push the bush into the wheel, then press it onto the axle?Push the bush onto the axle then fit the wheel onto the bush? Of course, Quartering is to be considered in both cases. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. 10 Class
  3. Hello everyone. Thank you for the comments and advice. As far as i can tell, to complete the set, i need: R3086 - Railroad Flying Scotsman R4332 - LNER Teak Composite x 2? R4333 - LNER Teak Brake The set would only contain items in production, as i can't see Hornby doing any special tooling just for starter sets. (Maybe different numbers on the carriages) They just leave the R numbers off the rollingstock. Thanks again everyone.
  4. Hello everyone. Could anyone advise of the R numbers of the locomotive and carriages, that are included in the Hornby R1255 - Flying Scotsman Set, please? I have obtained a set (Like new), which has everything in it, except the locomotive and 3 x carriages and i want to complete the set. The box tells you very little about the contents, as does the 2022 Catalogue. The 2022 catalogue (And box) merely says: LNER Class A1 4-6-2 "Flying Scotsman". Two LNER Composite Coaches. LNER Brake Coach. I know there are many versions of these items, however, i would imagine that they would all be later Railroad Model's. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hello everyone. Thank you for the responses. The history of these Trams is well documented etc. However, apparently Corgi/Hornby don't include any information with the Tram itself. I realize i could of bought mine a bit cheaper, however, over the counter was better than the item, having to endure the brutal postal service. (At additional cost & time.) Thanks again everyone.
  6. Hello everyone. A quick question, if anyone can help, please? Recently purchased the, Corgi/Hornby, Coca - Cola Double Decker Tram. (Brand new) There is no information on the history of the Tram included in or on the box, that i can see. At $120.00 AUD, i was dismayed that this information isn't included. The retailer had no idea one way or the other, and it was no concern of theirs of course. Are they all the same, or is it just mine that is missing? Was it ever there in the first place? Regards & thanks in advance.
  7. Hello everyone. Does anyone know, the quality of the T9 Chassis Blocks, available from Peter's Spares (PS), please? Surely they won't/may not, suffer the same Mazak Rot problem as the original Hornby ones from a few years ago and are made of a better quality material? I have asked PS, however, no response as of yet. Regards and thanks in advance. RDS Mod Note: I have amended your title slightly to fully describe the thread.
  8. Hello everyone. My issue with Locomotion Models (LM) is now solved. A response from LM, was received in November 2022, however, it went to my Trash/Junk folder and i never noticed it in there at the time. LM have since been in touch again and my order is now processing. All good and thanks for the responses. Regards

  10. Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me if Locomotion Models are open for business ATM, please? I placed a pre-order for the 2 NER Locomotives 1200 & 1201, on the 29th October 2022, and haven't had a response so far. They took the deposits as expected. I have sent 3 emails and rang their phone number (From Australia) as per their website, with no response. I believe these loco's have been delivered to locomotion and available for distribution. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks' in advance. Happy New Year to everyone.
  11. Hello everyone. Yes i tried to join the TT120 Club too, however, my address was not accepted. I'm in the Hunter Valley NSW. Apparently Australia is not on the list of ROW. I'll have to wait to see what SMS come up with regards club membership. What a bizarre arrangement, as Hornby have been quite happy to accept thousands of dollars from me for their OO Trains. Cheers
  12. Thank you david_watts1, for the quick response. Unfortunately i had not read any Forums, when i went to join the Hornby TT120 Club. However, i have since read all the TT120 Forum (17 pages), and there appears to be mixed results for the attempts to join. Some in Australia have been lucky & some haven't as you would know. As far as i am concerned, SMS are not in the equation, as i am trying to join a Hornby Club, which Hornby have advertised and encouraged world wide. SMS are well known distributors in Australia, however i don't see where they should have any influence on Hornby Club membership, and Hornby have not indicated that Australians should seek membership through SMS. I live in the Hunter Valley NSW (East Coast Australia) which is hardly a remote area, so i don't see the issue with my address, especially if Hornby are accepting address's from other parts of Australia. How can they be selective, if they want people to join their club. Good luck to those in Australia who have been fortunate to join, the Hornby TT120 Club. I'll try again and see what happens. Thanks again
  13. Hello everyone. Some guidance if i can, please. I have tried to join the Hornby TT120 Club this morning, however, after filling out all the details etc. I then got a message to say: Hornby TT 120 Club Membership cannot be sent to your address? (Australia) Am i doing something wrong, or is membership only for selected area's? I took ROW, to be Rest of World. I am already a Hornby Collectors Club member. I have not contacted Hornby direct yet, regards this matter. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  14. Hello everyone. 24 x Hornby R30321, arrived in the local hobby shop 2 days ago (East coast Australia.), for AUD $530.00 (GBP 304.00) and all were sold the same day, due to Pre-Order etc. I'm intrigued why one shop got so many & other shops missed out altogether? I can't believe, the prices being asked on Ebay & it is obvious that so many people didn't really want the loco anyhow, they bought it for all the wrong reasons. I hope they don't sell at Ebay auctions. My sample arrived in a plain brown outer carton, which is slightly larger than the normal Hornby outer cartons, bubble wrap was around the Hornby picture/loco box. Is it now normal practice for Hornby to use bubble wrap? I'm very happy with my loco & consider myself luck to obtain one at that price. Have Hornby made carriages to match? Cheers
  15. Thanks everyone for the information regards the Hush Hush. So far i have: R3840, R3842, R3843, R3844 & R3979. I'll purchase R30125 & R30126, when they are released. That'll be enough Hush Hush in the collection. Nice video JJ. Thanks again everyone.
