Dcc Easterner set arrived today, box number 284 out of 440

Received an E-mail regarding my dcc Easterner set has arrived at the warehouse, also ordered a n18txs decoder for Blink Bonnie

Delivered today was 2 left hand points and a pack of turnout clips, on pre order is the DCC Eastener set.

Just wondering if anyone has the latest Eastern set whether the upside down whistle has been corrected?

TT8001 does not include a cable., just the track piece.

Hi, I've had to undo my power track thingy and the capacitor is under the connecter part, you need to push the securing tabs in first, be careful as there's the 2 metal parts that are loose ( they make the connection to the input wire) hope this helps.

Received today, Track pack 4 & 5 plus decoupler, still waiting for Track pack 2 & 3, which shows as dispatched, funny thing is the 3 things I had today came in 3 separate boxes, what a waste of packaging, come on Hornby put it all in the same parcel!

Seems all the track packs are now showing, although my account still shows as pending.

I have got my Blink Bonnie back from Hornby, seems to be working ok now, said they had adjusted the valve gear, postage to be refunded separately 🤞

I've had to return my Blink Bonnie back twice, given my bank details as requested first time so they could refund postage, so far nothing turned up in my account, at this rate postage costs will exceed the cost of the set!!🤔 P.S locos not returned yet from its second outing to Hornby.

This probably explains why there's the black tape coving the screw, to stop it dropping out, just a thought as a lot of people have mentioned the tape on the front bogie.

As title suggests, sounds like the gears aren't meshing properly, worse at very slow speed and you can see the engine " jerking", only back from Hornby today but this seems a new problem, will have to send it back next week.

I received my Blink Bonnie back from Hornby RE problem with cutting power on clockwise curves, said they had adjusted the pickup contacts, runs ok. Set up my track, still the same problem!!! Dug out an ancient controller from an old set now runs always without shorting, seems the problem is the controller from the set is too sensitive.?

Some problems might be minor to an experienced person but as a complete newbie to railways Im very disappointed in my Scotsman set, I've had to send my loco back for tripping the power, if this continues after its returned then I'm giving up.

I cant see any reasons why my loco trips the power, phoned Hornby and I'm sending it in for inspection / repairthumbsup

Got my track laying flat, but Blink Bonnie still tripping the power on a clockwise curve, e-mailed Hornby but heard nothing back so far, not happy so far!

Same problem with my Blink Bonnie, second time out of the box and stalling on curves (oval of track), ok backwards, stalling forwards about the same place which is a couple of curves pass the points and power track, reconnected the power track and thought it was cured, 5mins later stalling again. Also Pullman coach wheels scraping on curves, and track on slight outward camber, on a perfectly flat surface, reporting to Hornby and see what they say. Not a happy chappie!
