  1. I can't find this via a search but has anyone flagged up having the large throttles (that pop up into the main screen when you tap a small throttle) scaleable? Might be useful to have a couple open but scaled down from their current size and out of the way. Or, an idea I saw elsewhere, have one large (scaleable) throttle that had the roster in a drop down menu at the top? If youv'e got hundreds of locos maybe a bit unwieldy but, for a group? Anyway, just a thought. R-
  2. As this link is now 46 pages long I'm afarid I can't remember all the items that have been suggested as 'desirable features", so apologies in advance if this has been mentioned already. I just wondered what we thought about having only the throttles that were needed for any given moment of operation actually displayed on screen. They could parhaps be scalable and floating. Just a thought. R-
  3. I think what PJ means is to put a point to the right of the station platform as we are looking at it now and bring a siding or two towards the camera. I'd be inclined to turn the point you've got lower left and have a siding go into the centre in the other direction. You will get longer sidings that way and they wont need to be curved. R-
  4. Nothing much wrong with that John. You have plenty of detail there and nicely put together. R-
  5. Looks just fine to me RAF96 - now where near in need of dusting yet. Also like the alteration you have made to your signature. R-
  6. Please don't misunderstand me, I am up for anything that helps us to find our way around our layout (well, not mine as it's simple and tiny) and I think your platforms look great. Having said that I did for fun put some signal icons on there the other day but it looks very busy now and at the moment confuses me more than it helps. Anyway, thats just me. R-
  7. Whilst I think that the ability to change text colour would be helpful (the white can be difficult to see unless you boost the size of it) I did think that the mimic was supposed to be just that a "mimic" of the sort of thing that one might see in a signal box. Are the things your suggesting PJ on such diagrams? I don't know. R-
  8. Ha ha ha - very good RDS, and not far off the mark I'd suggest. R-
  9. Not that I'm fussed (and only really because Greybags you are the day before) I'll go for 5 Oct 2015 - my 64th birthday. R-
  10. I frequently talk to my trains - whether voice control is on or not. If they won't listen I talk to the dog when she's had enough I talk to myself. R-
  11. Come on John - It's Christmas. If PJ is happy at the propect of LD let him be. R-
  12. I have to say that the Hornby range of DCC train control is ideal for me. It's relatively straightforward, good price level and well supported. Whilst I have no idea what is in the pipeline for LD I suspect that Hornby will release a great product that compliments the rest of the range well. Will I buy it? I doubt it. Not really to do with price, how can it be when we dont know how much it will cost, more to do with I don't, with my current layout, need any greater level of functionality. In the future who knows. I will however be paying close attention to it, when it comes, and to the feedback on here from any early adopters. R-
  13. Not "not interested" just "if it happens whilst I've got a pulse - hurrah" ! If not well, no odds then. R-
  14. As far as track is concerend RM doesn't know or care about the actual angle or length of normal track - just needs to know about points etc. You put it in your plan so that you know where you are. Some I believe dont, but I would find that too confusing. R-
  15. I think I could cope with #2 - just, #4 looks like the turntable from hell. (p.s. I do realise these are fictional representations and not available) My apologies - I thought I had deleted all of Ray's text and images from my response. R-
  16. Wonderful - the music track really sets it off well. I like all of them, the monster cat in "The Crash" is reminiscent of Hammer Films (for those that remember such antiquated movies) and very funny. Very well done. I too would be interested in how you get to keep the track so pristine in the elements? R-
  17. Deadlysteve said: hello all I know I cannot connect the mains electric directl to the rails, before anyone asks. but how do I connect a Bus wire to the mains power, through a transformer I assume but exactly how, ive seen loads of information and videos on how to run wires from the bus to the rails but nothing on mains to bus, please help
  18. Could we put forward for Hornby to add double slips, single slips and three way points to their track library? I know they dont manufacture them but it would make the work around neater (except SS for which I cannot work out) by using two points.
