  1. Hi, Last year I had similar issue when trying to purchase the licence for the iPad to use as walkabout, no matter how much help was suggested, it would not work on my vista laptop, even adding Mcafee virus checker to the exceptions or disabling it did not help. Finally I tried uninstalling Mcafee completely & tried again following a reboot & this time was successfull with the purchase so I now use Avast virus checker with Spybot & Malware free software as suggested on this forum & all works well. it's worth considering it to see if it sorts the issue out regards Tee
  2. That's usually want happens to me when SWMBO walks into the room to see my progress lol Tee
  3. I just hope LD can connect to a usb hub as my laptop already has elite 1 & 2 plugged in to main ports the third has the voice receiver for headphone & the forth usb has a 4 usb hub which has a mem stick for backups a wireless mouse receiver leaving 2 spare!
  4. There's a picture of mine waiting to be 'moderated'. same here been waiting 4 hours so far :-(
  5. /media/tinymce_upload/image34.jpg If you are looking for a lasting shed & cost isn't an issue build it yourself as a 3 month project. I did in 2012 with a 7"" reinforced concrete base 5m x 4m. Used treated 4x2"" timber with 18mm marine ply for the frame work. Loft insulation on walls & ceiling 8"" thick with plasterboard throughout walls & ceiling, electrics with lots of double sockets on a fused ring main. Windows were doubleglazed units from a skip as was the exterior house door The exterior is painted with tar for waterproofing followed by green mineral felt all round. The roof was done by a firm with burnt on felt not cheap but worth doing well. The floor is laminated & it's heated by fan heaters on timers. Cctv & alarmed. Then you paint the scenery on the walls. My layout is 3 x 3.5m on 2 level. I'm pleased with it but you won't get much change from 4k. /media/tinymce_upload/image33.jpg Tee
  6. I hope you managed to get the original one repaired? My latest aquisition - another Merchant Navy Class - I think I now have twenty three - only seven to go! I don't believe my luck the schools class St.Paul's sound has failed on its second use it stalled the first time I used it & I thought that was dirty track but the sound would not respond to f1 or after resetting the decoder c8to 8 so have sent it back for refund today :-( You inspire confidence tibrahim. I bought my St Pauls R2898xs when Hattons were selling them at half price, and that was some years ago. I've not even opened the box yet to see what's in it - hopefully a loco! Yes that's where my original came from too £145 bargain lasted a year till the wires broke, got replacement wire set but no joy in replacing the 21 pin decoder. it's running again without sound on a saphire decoder but miss the sounds :-( hope you better luck.

  8. Schools class St.Pauls R2898xs my first one blew the decoder when the wires between the loco & tender broke & have been looking for a replacement for a while now so when it became available new on eBay I just had to get it.
  9. I find it a little odd that Hornby have the R070 TT which has 14 positions yet in RM the turntable stops at the 3,6,9,12 o'clock points which are on the lines yet there is no design pieces that can be displayed at these positions. This in turn means that it goes out of sync with your road numbers for example clockwise 4 roads gives you the stop at 3 o'clock where there's no track. My work around has been to use a set of points touching the 3 o'clock position to join up the track but it's not ideal.
  10. Yes RDS that's right they are only visible at 100% but any smaller & they disappear I am constructing a bigger layout now so need to zoom to 50% to get a decent overview but keep having to zoom back if I want to see what point number or signal I'm working with.
  11. Am I too late to suggest in 50% zoom to be able to see the signal & points numbers still
