  1. Now that looks a really nice build. I was given this kit for Father's day - I'm really looking forward to building it.
  2. That is an excellent build and your antenna worked out very well! Very nicely done. I like the idea of the small arms damage!
  3. That's a good enough reason null_null, I used to live near RAF Finmire in Buckinghamshire and I often thought about doing something similar to you.
  4. That looks fabulous! The washes have worked well.
  5. Very nice. I have the old Scammel tank transporter and would like to get some of the other older sets - such as the refueling and ... is it the rescue set? I'd like to do the recovery truck with a hurricane or some-such on the back.
  6. That looks fabulous - I'm not surprised he loves it! Very nicely done!
  7. That does look very good indeed - I do like that scheme!
  8. I suspect this new tool is also a fair bit heavier than the old 1/24th Spitfire! Have you got some metal wire Richard!!? 🙃
  9. LOL! So you like Buccaneers then is what you're saying?
  10. I had heard it can be a challenge. it does look like a fun kit though, I might have to get one at some point.
  11. That is indeed very true - it's all personal preference at the end of the day and better to have them and not use them rather than the other way around. one thing I do like though is to have the stencils on the stores and pylons - makes look so much better.
  12. Loving that - I love Puma's! I wish they'd re-release this as a vintage classic - the kits are like hen's teeth.
  13. Oh I see - so it doesn't come with a stand - gotcha. I take it you'll reposition it?
  14. Great stuff Richard, I always like your figures. Great bit of experimenting on the reds - what are you going to go for? I like the look of the Italian Red (on the trailing edge) over the yellow.
  15. Excellent! Is that the US bomber/supply set?
  16. LOL! Awesome - are those the old kits?
  17. Oh of course - woops! 🙃 lol! So I failed the aircraft ID course obviously!
  18. Cool! I do like floatplanes! Japanese?
  19. That's stunning! I take it the stars and bars on the top wing are supposed to be like that - as if they've been worn off?
  20. (Sorry for the off-topic) Can't speak for model clubs, as I've never attended one, but I can say that forums like this one are generally full of supportive, friendly and completely un-competitive fellow modelers who're just trying to have a bit of fun. It's worth sticking with if you have the time.
  21. Loving that - that looks excellent!
  22. So, having suggested this as a thread yesterday and been told to get on with it - lets give it a go. 🙃 This is a thread I've seen on a few other forums, one which seems to be quite popular, the intention being that we can just post up the odd photo of what we're working on at the moment - builds that we've not, for one reason or another, started a dedicated build thread for. Anyway, here's what I've been working on over the weekend - I've added the decals to my Airfix 1/72 Curtis Hawk 91-A-2... I've also finished up the PM Model F-5A I've been working on for a few months. So - Over to you... (oh and Happy Workbench Wednesday!)
