  1. I've recently completed a Ford 100E from the same lot . These things are a fight all the way to build even in tabletop form with tons of scratch building ,filing , straightening ( it was a different length either side ) and things like door shut lines were out of proportion as was the Bottom 10mm . But it still happened simply because bar starting from nothing it was my only option. Still waiting for the Minor but it would be such a universally likeable kit . It was the UK's people's car , it's cute like it or not, and more importantly it's many things to many people including to folks who modify stuff ./media/tinymce_upload/7c4bd5e2d7ca80534b116b99f25f7561.jpg OK I will shut up about it now .
  2. Following on , I am genuinely surprised Tamiya has not done a Minor yet with the Japanese love of all things English . Do you know they made body kits for Micra's so they looked like Austin 1100s . Yes mental enough to do that . And dont forget the MM ended up all over the globe post WW2
  3. So the Custom versions of the Cortina , Victor , Zodiac and Capri exist still . Being a child of the 70s I have coveted these for years . Sadly My pocket money missed them first time and the rare occasions they hit E Bay they are ridiculous money . Even if I did stump up for one chances are I wouldn't have the heart to build it and devalue it .
  4. Hello , I was just searching for details of Minor Resin Kits and this forum popped up . I have had a look around and the whole 1/32 v 1/24 debate is in full swing . I think Airfix is missing a trick our Transatlantic friends are well aware of . Classic Saloon's in 1/24th scale have a big following and I bought the Resin shell in question as I intend to Customise it . It is just a slightly wobbly shell and I fully intend on raiding my parts box for a big old V8 , wheels , running gear interior etc . As said 1/24 is the chosen scale for the rest of the world , we can cross parts over , modify , do as we choose . A Morris Minor kit would be the ideal candidate for such things , as would a Cortina , Pop , Escort , Zephyr/Zodiac or any number of classics Airfix has already released in 1/32 If carefully chosen it would be a world-beater , The classic folks would be happy with the chance to build a standard icon , and the modifiers will go " cool, something different that isn't going to require 30 hours to get straight before I even think about raiding the parts bin. " They don't even need to worry about supplying the parts to modify as we tend to buy another kit for transplantation purposes anyway. I loved building the 1/32 rereleases a while back but I would have loved them so much more if they were in 1/24.
