elite control rotary control number 2 is very slugish slow to acklowedge it has been pressed it eventualy does but is there a remidy

some how wire loose on loco any idea where it has broken away from

hornby elite controller and i think you may be right about dc mode

changing loci id setting must have pressed something wrong and now put loco on rails and it charges off at top speed control barely turn on any clues

my hornby elite works selected loco on control 1 but if i want to start it on control 2 nothing it is dead but if i select another different loco contol 2 works i am sure i have used both controls on same loco would a factory reset put it right

only 2 locos some time 3 thats all i have

during use locos running elite cuts out lights on unit go out then it appears to reset and restart then it runs awhile shuts down again latest version of software as its not very old 18 months since purchase

fitted a sound decoder to pendalino worked fine then on hornby (brand new ) digital contoller it suddently shows no throttle read out when turned tried on 1 and 2 control and no power to motor yet if i revert back to anoloug 12 volt no decoderjust blank plug it powers ok then put decoder back in all sounds working fine but no power up to motor

it is based on a deisel railcar

Dcc ready GWR railcar any recomendations for sound card supplier out there

Loco was returned to supplier and a refund was given

Thanks will look into it tried decoder in friends alstom penalino it worked fine is there any difference in the normal pendalino and the alstom or is it just the paint job

nothing stands out on pcb but bear in mind this pcb was supplied by hornby this week to replace what i thought was a faulty pcb board will keep looking and checking all conection

tried that and both decoders work but not in powert car and select has latest update from hornby
