  1. Because of track constraints I have used 8243 point motors. However, I want to change the naming in app so when it states open/closed they are all consistent. Should I just rewire? (if so which wires need switching) or is there a way to do this in app. thank you.
  2. Thank you for the replies. Good to know that DC is not as sensitive as DCC. Another reason to stick with it! Baseboard is ready to go.
  3. Hello My son is into Hornby and has been gifted a few sets. I have created a 2 loop with shunting track and now want to make sure everything stays well connected. (Problem I had with mine when I was young...) I haven’t really got the time right now to place a dropper on every piece of track; however, are there any time efficient ways of keeping things decent over the longer term or do I just need to bite the bullet and do it? I am running DC and just he just received a new hm6000 controller. thanks
  4. Thanks. Is the 5amp going to be too big though?
  5. yes sorrry. I actually live in Dubai currently and it is close to impossible to get things while there so try and get what I can once back in the UK. All power/3 pins are same as the UK. However, I do have many adapters (electric in Dubai come in from everywhere) so tempted to just get a foreign psu. thank you
  6. Great. Thank you very much for all the help. Very informative and useful.
  7. Perfect. Thank you. I am going to purchase the points soon. Any advice on which will be the easiest to get right?
  8. thank you for the reply. No I need a UK power supply. I live abroad but it is the same power as the UK.
  9. I currently have five points on my track with my two of the points connecting two loops. Can I therefore connect the two points on the loops to just one of the hm6010 outputs? thank you
  10. Please could someone post some links to power supplies I could buy that will work? I am only in the Uk for a short while and want a hm6010 but no point if I can’t get a power supply. Complete novice but doing it for my son. thank you
