I never concluded this. In the end I spoke to Hornby and returned both the decoder to them. About a week later the whole thing was returned, new decoder fitted into the Class 67. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE THANK YOU HORNBY

Does anyone know if this years members loco is DCC ready?

This is beyond my knowledge, who could I send it to to fix it and how much would it cost?

I installed a class 66 Tts decoder and speaker into my EWS limited edition Class 67003 the first one I needed to modify the cables to the speaker on. Tested it and it worked sound as well. I got the 67 out yesterday put it on the track selected it and it flew away not responding to the controller (elite), I had to use the stop button. When I opened up the engine this morning 2 wires from the decoder socket to the decoder had 'blown' and one had almost melted. It was the pink and grey, I have disconnected the decoder not sure what to do next. help please

I want to install a sound decoder into my DCC ready class 67 but even though there is an 8 pin socket I cannot work out where to put the speaker and decoder. the particular loco was a set with 3x EWS ballast wagons which is a fabulous loco with running lights and very heavy. can anyone help please

Many thanks everyone it was the PC that was so out of date that it couldnt handle the firmware update. Anyway 12 hours later all updates on the PC and I have now updated the firmaware on my elite to 1.44.

Ive done all that and I now cant even get a com port to show on the pc The only option that worked was 1

I have attempted to update the firmware from 1.41 but on the final item the system said update failed and now the elite controller is dead and wont open up. Help please

I am in the process of going DCC and have sourced a decoder for my Class 66 PD Ports but I have a Class 67 (67003) limited edition and cant find which decoder to by. I have a similar issue with my Ruston Shunter and Class 61xx all three are DCC ready. Help please.

I have read that you can enable sound on analogue. Does anyone know how to achieve this.

Delivered this morning Hornby - Ruston Shunter in Olive green (Army) strong little thing.

I started with my first ever layout on lockdown, I decided I wanted engines and carriages that I liked and wanted from an indeterminate period but in general 1950-1968 roughly. I named it 'Eagley Halt' a purely fictitious place, but, Eagley is a village near Bromley Cross Station near BOLTON.
