  1. Yes, this worked for me. I lost control of 4 locos that had been successfully running for quite a while. Unlinked, updated and re-linked. All okay at the moment.
  2. Hi, I have now managed to get 2 of them working by unlinking, deleting and re-linking - just need to do the other 2. Bit of a pain though and don't understand why it happened? thanks
  3. Hi, yes installed the latest profile, thanks
  4. Hello all, I have had something very strange happen today with 4 of my HM7000 controlled locos. 2 of them were run yesterday with no problems for quite a while and then another 2 were run for a while today with no problems. Then suddenly, one by one, they stopped working (not all at the same time). I then found that the app would only connect to 1 loco via BT but it had no control (movement or sound) - this would be the same any of the 4 locos. I tried another loco that hadn't been run and that ran fine. So tried connecting one of them via DCC (Railmaster) and after adding it to the loco list it worked - movement and sound - tried BT again and no joy. The app connects but can't control the loco. I am stumped because the app connects to the decoder but can't can't actually control movement or sound on these 4 locos. But I know that the decoder is okay as it works through DCC and BT control still works for another loco Any ideas anyone? thanks
  5. Thanks for your replies. At least I now I know that they will, hopefully, all be the same.
  6. HI all, I have seen a similar issue to mine but not sure if it was exactly the same. I have just installed an 8 pin bluetooth decoder and the HM DCC app on an ipad. The direction controls on the app are a left hand arrow and a right hand arrow. Now to me the right hand arrow is forwards. However, the loco goes in reverse when the right hand arrow is pressed and forwards when the left hand arrow is pressed. I have tried setting CV 29 bit to 1 and it makes no difference. Short of changing the wiring to the motor I'm not sure what to do, thanks in advance

    DCC

Fitted one to mine as well, no problems - (in the tender)
  8. Very happy with the set although I did have a couple of parts that had come off. One of which I am not going to put back on as it is too fidly for me- it seemed that it was only glued in one point rather than the 3 points that should have it fixed to the loco. See attached photo for the larger part - it fits on the loco by the wheels
  9. So the finescale ones fit both the PECO and the Hornby okay? If so, I'll have to get a pack.
  10. Yes, those PECO ones are the ones I have used. I have looked at the track and can see that the bottom of the Hornby track is wider than the Peco which explains the difficulty.
  11. All, As I have done most of a layout using the availabIe PECO track I have just tried to connect the PECO track to the Hornby track in the the set that arrived the other day. I have found that the PECO fish plates will not push on to the Hornby track, but the Hornby ones go on the PECO track. I was planning on using the Hornby track for some sidings but will have to wait until I can get some Hornby fish plates. Has anyone else tried fitting the two together?
  12. Seems a little unfair as pre-orders are not orders and no money has actually been spent. I understood that the reward scheme is for money spent - i.e. orders. The money won't be spent until you agree to accept the order. Think Hornby need to consider this......
  13. Thanks, I have sorted my 'issue' - I wasn't leaving enough time for the between activations for it to charge up.
  14. Hi all, Does anyone know if the Hornby accessory decoder, R8247, can have its input voltage supplied from a separate power supply rather than using the DCC track supply? If so, is it 15VAC? Many thanks
